See, for example, the link under "California" to the "Mendocino Ridge" AVA. One of our many favorites in the Golden State. To see a complete list of all AVA names, click the [AVA Metes & Boundaries] site navigation links. Once you get to a map, put the word "wineries" or "winery" in the "search the map" box in the lower right-hand corner of the map and run a search for your personal winetrail. Click on the map to zoom in and re-center. Click and re-enter your search term, as often as you like, to re-focus your search until you are satisfied with the lay of the land. Then, pack a loaf of bread and grab someone who you would like to hear singing in the wilderness and hit the trail:
